"SECRET and DANGEROUS"
Night of the SO'N TAY POW RAID by Air Commando Pilot, William A. Guenon, Jr.
Long over due, its a pilots eyewitness account of the C-130 aircrew and how they pulled off the raid of the century
in spite of some glitches. No fictional work could possibly come close to this absorbing chronicle of the So'N Tay Raid
complete with all the twists and turns of a night low-level on the edge of a stall with six helicopters in close formation
over jungle-covered mountains.
Ride along on this mission-impossibledeep into North Vietnam and experience the daring rescue attempt of POWs
being held in the shadows of Hanoi.
Its the only book on the raid by a raider, and provides a rare glimpse of 1970 history as it unfurled the night of the raid.

As a two-part tale, this read details the same raider-pilots sentimental journey back to So'N Tay 24 years after the raid;
including his high-anxiety confrontation, arrest, and interrogation by Vietnamese police in 1994.
William A. Bill Guenon, Jr., a Pennsylvania native, has spent the majority of his aviation career in many facets of the
transportation industryboth military and civil on a global basis. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force as a Command Pilot
and Senior Air Traffic Controller. In the private sector he pulled a stint as business development for air traffic radar,
automation and displays including vessel traffic systems.
A bit of an adventurer, he finished third in the Great Atlantic Air Race of 1969 with a commendable time of 7 hours and
39 minutes, well before the supersonic Concorde went into commercial service.
Currently, when not involved with aviation consulting for his company Omni-Alliances, or writing books in the
Phung-wah tradition, Bill can usually be found mingling at air shows, aviation exhibitions, and aerospace museums.
